A multi-barrier filtration system, from ground to bottle
Nothing here is sourced from a river or trucked in from elsewhere. The water starts in our own well in Serere and passes through every one of these stages before sealing.
Drawn from the well
Sourced from the well beneath our Serere facility, not surface water.
Sand & sedimentation
Coarse particles settle out before anything touches a filter membrane.
Carbon filtration
Removes odour, chlorine trace and organic compounds.
Micro-filtration
Fine membranes strip out microscopic sediment and pathogens.
UV purification
A final UV pass neutralises anything left before bottling and sealing.

Safe water for vulnerable households
A share of every bottle goes toward getting clean drinking water into homes around Serere that don’t yet have it.
Youth enterprise
We back small ventures run by young people in Soroti and Serere, the same energy that keeps Akipi Echo bottling and delivering.
Hygiene education
Workshops and school visits on handwashing, water storage and sanitation, run alongside our filtration partners.
